Our son had played in Hamilton since Novice and we were looking for a fresh direction heading into Major Bantam. After much investigation and research, as a family we chose Halton. Coach Mark was in his second year as their head coach. The year before he had taken the team that was a bottom dweller to a team that was destine to compete at the OMHA's. In just half a year, Coach Mark had turned the Halton team around.
From day one of seeing Coach Mark on the ice we knew we had made the right decision for Mitchell. Coach Mark is firm, fair but I will not lie, he is tough, he demands hard work and commitment. But if your kid really wants a shot at hockey, then Coach Mark is the one you want teaching. He understands the game, he has played the game and more importantly he knows how to teach the game to the kids.
During the SCTA Bantam All-Star weekend, several comments were made about how well the Halton kids looked and how their skating was leaps and bounds above many of the others. That is a direct result of Coach Mark and his teaching. At a recent game back in Hamilton, a former coach said to me, that he is so impressed with the way Mitchell has developed into a compete player.
I will never forget the first day I met Coach Mark, I was speaking to him about Mitchell possibly coming to Halton and he ended the conversation with......"I will teach your son how to be a hockey player".... thank you Coach Mark you did what you said

I came to Halton in Major Bantam where Beezer was the coach. I didn't know what to expect, but in the first few skates he was showing me stuff I had never done before. His practices are tough and demanding, but how else would we get better. All that Beezer wanted from us was a commitment to work hard and listen. He provided the opportunity for to me improve. Beezer has a drive inside of him to help and teach all of his players. I really liked his passion for the game and the passion for his players. He made us feel like a family and we were in this together. Thank you Coach for your hard work and the belief in me
